pc care 247 Connexxion Gurgeon mandatory purchase of a monthly service to clean and update a pc computer. Internet
This scam began when we had some computer problems with our AOL service. AOL suggested we change our password which we did a total of 4 times before the problem was resolved.
AOL recommended that we have our pc Dell computer checked by a technician to determine if we had any viruses. A telephone number was given to us.
The Indian gentleman on the line stated that he would check the computer for viruses, and suggested that we needed to purchase a service that would update and clean the computer onece a month.
The "best deal" for this service was to enroll for a 3 year period for the fee of $450.00. We charged our VISA account for this amount. Never did we receive a statement that stated the transaction nor any reports of the monthly checkups.
Three months passed by and computer became slower and slower. We decided to call VISA for a telephone number for the company. None was available, We called the telephone number previously given to us by AOL for the technician. No one answered. We sought the internet address and got to the RIpoff report page. We read of others who have had similar circumstances with pc care 247.
The rest is history: we were scammed. Do not let it happen to you!
