I attempted to upgrade the memory on my motherboard and ended up running a diagnostic program called Fresh Diagnose. Fresh Diagnose determined that I have an ISIS Chipset and that the manufacturer is ECS USA.Although ECS USA made the board, they allege that they made the board for PC Chips USA and therefore PC Chips USA is responsible for providing support.

All I want to do is upgrade the memory and PC Chips USA told me that my board holds 500mb of ram over a week ago. Then a few days later they changed their story and indicated it holds 2000mb of ram. Then they changed their story again and said that it holds 1000. They told me the memory was DDR even though a local shop called RE-PC looked at the memory and said that it was PC-100 SDRAM.

There is no support with either PC Chips USA or ECS USA and anyone wishing to buy a motherboard would be wise to buy it from someone else.

By accident, directory assistance provided me the wrong toll free telephone number for PC Chips USA and the proprietor advised me that someone else calling this company had the same story as me with respect to the company being a total flake.

Regardless -- ECS USA is responsible and they are a bad operator.
