I get a call one October morning from a Mr. George McLaw about a $5000 credit limit for a one time fee of $349. I asked him why is there such a high charge (as I am a struggling college student) and he explained that it's an only one time fee. I asked him if he could place the 349 dollar balance on the card he explained he could not do that.

So I gave him my bank account number and the charge was taken out and he explained it would take 21 business days. I waited 21 days and nothing came, so I called and they said it was "behind delivery" and would be there soon. I waited all together 30 days and I finally called and asked him for the delay, because I needed that card to pay off some of my college debt.

I didn't get a hold of George McLaw, instead I was speaking to Trevor #183 and he explained to me what my $349 was REALLY going to: a list of rebuilding credit card company's and information on how to rebuild credit. I had told Trevor that this was not what Georgie McLaw had told me, Trevor apologized and set me up with a refund, which was back in November.

I was told to wait so many business days and I did and no money returned. They claimed something had gone wrong or what not. I've been calling ever since, every Monday for about 2 months now. I woke up today May 10, 2006 and i talked to some bi**h who told me "Sorry we're out of business, call your bank and see what they can do for you."

This is unacceptable to me and if there is any way I can get my money back I'll do it. If I have to drive to Champlain, NY and beat someone up I will. Who's with me?

Good luck. George McLaw does not exist. I received the same call from the same person. All they are trying to do is get you past the 60 days because if you file a dispute with that time period, the bank can take action and refund your money. They will say, "You'll receive it in 15 days" then when you call it's "15 business days" then after that it's "We mail a kit to you within 15 days and you have to send it back to receive your card" and so on and so on.
