STOP! Do not give your credit card number to them!! Rip off!
When my computer was attacked by a virus I tried to locate Norton's antivirus number since I had just purchased Norton 360. It was not easy, obviously, and was mislead to believe (verbally too) that pc care was Norton's "software technical support". They told me that it was NOT a virus but my network had been hacked into and for $299.95 they would resolve the issue and give me a 3 yr guarantee that I would not have any more problems. I questioned if the company was legit. They, remotely on my computer, showed me "documents" with their connection to Norton.
Long story short, they got my money. After having the same problem on the same day I was told that they have a "team of tech. working on it because they have never faced this issue before, the hackers were that good." Still having problems the next day, I was told to call Dell because it was a hardware problem not a software problem. Dell, said it was a software problem, that I still had a virus. My daughter located the correct number for Norton who said they are not affiliated with Pc Care and do not stand behind them and yes, it sounds like I still have a virus and was not "hacked" into.
