Kept getting an error message saying that Norton Confidential Plug-in was not responsive.  Called Norton to receive assistance with the problem.

When I dialed Norton Internet Security, I reached a person from India who accessed my computer remotely and showed me all of my computer errors - including a Trojan virus.  Scared me into purchasing a Virus protection package - which had to be purchased before he would "fix" my computer.  My credit card company would not complete the charge - so while I had   "Norton" on line, I used another computer to check the company with whom I was being billed - PCCare247 - it showed numerous ripoff reports.

Ended up closing my credit card because I had given him that info.  He tried calling me back several times, I never answered.

Fixed the problem myself - using Chrome tools so the error message would not appear.

I do not have a Trojan virus - ran Norton - computer is fine.

I tried calling Norton again to report the ripoff attempt - reached another person from India who immediately tried selling me a virus program.

It makes me feel very uneasy using a Norton product.
