Various products sold by the company PCPhoneSoft that work in conjunction with the MagicJack VoIP software require a serial number check after purchase to activate. Their website pcphonesoft.com is down, so purchased products cannot be activated. They do not respond to their phones at 1 800 406 4966 or +1 952 646-5022 or +49 221 31088-30 Internet
I purchased the key to unlock the product, however the product requires validating the key against the company's domain, and that validation constantly fails. In addition, the company's web site is down, and looking up their customer service phone numbers on their website on archive.org just netted me a recording that goes nowhere.
I used PayPal to make the payment. I discussed this with a Share*It representative who told me he would process a refund, but I've seen no movement in PayPal that indicates this is happening. We'll assume for the moment that they are accidentally and unknowingly selling software that cannot be registered, but it is pretty sloppy at best.
Just for the record, the software itself is great, anyone reading this considering purchasing it should really consider it, it's worth the twenty bucks (I'm talking specifically about MagicUtilities). But Share*It leave a lot to be desired.
