Complaint Review: Peak Promotions - Cydcor

I am a marketing professional starting out in the field.
Peak Promotions/Cydcor had an ad listed on monster.com.
The asked me in for a prelim. interview.
Decent office..ultra cheerful secretary... what concerned me was that I was supposed to have an "appointment" at 11:30 yet there where 4 other people waiting for an interview. I met with Jeaneane, she was very vague, but also clear about the room for advancement within the company.

Advancement is the reason I'm leaving my current job. So Peak seemed like a great opportunity.
I had a 2nd interview set-up for the next week.

During the first interview Ms. Tedesco mumbled the name of the parent company, I called later in the week and got the name Cydcor. I looked at their website, which gave the first clue that it was door to door sales (this should have been made perfectly clear in the first interview). Then I did a search and found this and a few other sites. I then decided not to go to the 2nd interview.

I am not posting this to get into a battle about the merits of the company.
I am writing to Thank everyone for wriitng about their experiences and keeping me from wasting an unpaid off from my current job on something that just isn't for me.

If 1/10 of the things a read are true than I don't want any part of this company. This does not make lazy this makes me smart.
