Pear-e-Whites Free Trial Scam (And Discount Magazine Scam)

Do not sign up for Pearl-e-Whites free trial it is a scam. First off the free trial is not a free trial. If you try to cancel your free trial they will bill you for the free tooth whitner they have sent (20 something dollars I believe), even though this is not in any of their documents. If you do not cancel you will start getting billed 100 a month.

Anyway, after I canceled I started getting a teen vouge magazine with my name on it a few months after. I couldn't figure out why because I had never ordered any magazines. Then yesterday I get a call from a representive from Discount Magazine who told me that they are giving me a special promotion and they were going to stop billing me for the cost of the magazine and just bill me for shipping and handling. I told them that I never signed up to get any magazines, and they said that I had when I signed up for the Pearl-e-Whites trial, whcih was a blatant lie. Furthermore they were going to "only" charge me $.85 a day to keep recieving my magazine. I told them I wanted to cancel, but they said they couldn't because I had entered into a 60 month contract. I told them I was going to block them from charging my card and they said they had already paid the publishers for the magazine for the 60 months and threatened to report my non payment to the credit agencies.

At this point they scam people by getting them to say they want the promotion because it's going to be cheaper than what they are paying before. I told them I did not authourize any charges on my card that they had on file from when I ordered Pearl-e-whites. I could not find where they had billed my card or any contact info online, so I called Pearl-e-whites. They confirmed they had worked with the company to send me the magazines, acknowledged that I never signed any 60 month agreement, and told me they would take me off their call list. The way they scam most people is they think they are being charged, so for the time being they enter into the promotion that's cheaper and end up actually verbally agreeing to the contract that was never in place.

Stay away from these people. I don't know how you could work for a place like this and sleep at night.
