For me this began as an email "reward" for a purchase made at another online business. I had a limited choice of offers and since I'd never done teeth whitening before, it sounded like a good deal at $7.95 S&H for a free trial. After making the purchase I received an unclear email about continuing with the plan for $119 a month if I did not cancel within 14 days.

As soon as I received the pen I called to cancel my account. The representative I spoke with was infuriating. She spoke very quickly and kept making me better offers to which my reply was to cancel the account. Then suddenly she needed to charge me $59 for the product I'd already received. I firmly denied that and said I did not want anything else charged to my account or I would contest the charge with my credit card company. I offered several times to return the product, but she told me to just keep it.

The product was worth closer to 59 cents than 59 dollars. A tiny tube with a brush attached through which to paint your teeth with whitener. The tube was only half full by the time you twisted the dispenser to get ithe whitening gel through the brush for the first application. I have never been scammed before, and am appalled to think that this sort of thing goes on all the time.
