Pearle Vision unsatisfactory service and failure to refund payment Clearwater Florida
On 11/16/05 I ordered frames and lenses from Pearle Vision at Clearwater FL. I explained to the representative that I had to have the glasses in 2 week because I was leaving for a trip.
He told me there would be no problem and promised the glasses to me on 11/30/05. I called on that date and the glasses were not in; I was told it would be another week to 10 days.
I called Customer Service in Dallas TX and the representative told me they would send the glasses the next day (12/01/05) by overnight mail.
When I called on 12/01/05, I was told it would be another week before the glasses would come in. I again called Dallas, canceled the order, and demanded a refund, to which she agreed.
I called the local store and told the rep I was cancelling the order, to send a fax acknowledging that, and a copy of my prescription,a confirmation that my debit account was credited.
I received the fax, but as of today 12/04/05, my account still has not been credited with the $406.47. I plan to take this to small claims court if I have received the $ within 5 days.
This is the worst optical company I have dealt with in the entire 40 years I have been wearing glasses. I will never use them again - and I have written BlueCross/BlueShield to let them
know that they should not refer their insured people to Pearle for the 30% discount they offer. I would never use Pearle again, discount or no discount.
