This individual was advertising Patriots tickets on Craigslist. I contacted them regarding the November 15th game and they said they still had the tickets and they would be sent directly from the Patriots as they were season tickets. They provided their information for a wire transfer, saying their name was Peggy Lam from Port st Lucie, Florida. The bank was BB&T, routing number 263191387. As it was a Saturday, the wire would not go through until Monday morning, however Peggy said as long I sent confirmation of the transfer that they would send the tickets as they had "done that before." After completing the transfer, Peggy kept telling me that she had sent the tickets, however they never came through my email. She was very convincing and seemed very sincere, particularly as she kept answering my emails. I never did get the tickets to the November 15th game, so Peggy told me that she was a ticket broker and had tickets to other games. She told me she could send me hard tickets, since the email "didn't work." I should have been smart enough to get out at this point, particularly as I was able to cancel the wire first thing Monday morning, however Peggy was very convincing. She agreed to me wiring half of the money for the new tickets with the agreement that I would send the other half upon receipt of the tickets. I sent a new wire for half the cost of the tickets and requested a tracking number. Again, she kept telling me she had sent it, however I never got it. She kept in contact with me for a few days, even emailing at one point, saying I should have the tickets that day. After that, she stopped answering my emails and I have not received the tickets. Luckily, I only lost half of what I originally would have lost, but this was still a tough lesson. Do NOT do business with this person. I noticed after the fact that there are other reports against this person with similar stories. She's very convincing and says just the right things to make you THINK you aren't being scammed. She's a con artist and I just hope that Karma gives her what she deserves.
