Complaint Review: Pelican Case

Pelican Case ruined my NEW Camera They Said "Not Our Problem" torrance , California

I was out on a slow river Cruise about 8 Mph... Due to a mechanical malfunction I capsized the boat

A nearby boat came to the rescue .

Within minutes all my belongings were retrieved from the water

I was NOT Worried about the camera because it was in a "Pelican" Case Which is Advertised as Waterproof .

When the case was opened it was full of water ...the seal had leaked

I called pelican and they Refuse to do the right thing :-(

The cheap case from Walmart saved what was inside it

Why Can't a $100.00+ case do the same !!!

Doesn't it suck having to waste your time modifying something that should have been made right to begin with?

Not to mention the camera.

Called pelican today ...they will probably fix the case but I am out of luck on my camera ...

Bottom line :  Inspect your case , replace your O-Ring and water test an empty case before using it

Then put the Pelican case in a Dry Bag ... also use Zip-Loc bags inside Pelican case ...seems like a lot of work for something that was supposed to work in the first place ...
