Complaint Review: Pelican Outdoor Furniture

Horrible business!
In 2014 we splurged and bought a $4500.00 patio set 'that would last us for years.' It  didn't even make it one season. The finish started peeling off all 6 chairs and the table.
Pelican's first response to the situation was to switch out our patio set with pieces they had at their store. Same issue occurred.


The next year we were told that the products were defective and Pelican  had stopped doing business with the manufacturer, but that the manufacture had sent them a new table, as a test of good faith, after 'fixing' the issue. Same thing happened with this table.

We then asked that Pelican take the furniture back and refund the purchase. We were told that they do not do give cash back refunds, only store credit. We drove back up to Quakertown to see their selection. Nothing we saw was close to what we wanted. They gave us catalogs to review and suggested we try websites of their manufactures to see if we saw something we liked. Unfortunately we didn't find anything.
So we called the manufacturer ourselves. We sent them photos. They agreed to a full refund and told us they would contact Pelican.






So here we are now, with a junk patio set, in the last year of warranty (WHAT A JOKE!) and Pelican still refuses to give us a refund, even though the manufacturer was willing to refund them the purchase money.
Don't trust Pelican or their products!!!
