Pell Technology, Inc. Won't honor warranty 1 day after it expired Tampa Florida
Pell Technology sold us an LCD screen that failed during the warranty period. Unfortunately my customer was out of town when it failed and could not get it back to me until the day the warranty expired. After diagnosing the problem I contacted Pell Technology on the day after the warranty expired and they refused to honor the warranty.
The person who answered the phone put me on with his manager, Bill, who also refused to honor this warranty. He offered to sell me a replacement for $200.00 with free shipping when the original was $289.00 and the current price on the Pell Technology web site is $245.00. This just seems like bad business to me.

How long?

How long after the warranty expires should the company be responsible? 1 day? 1 month? 1 year?
I agree that it would be good business for the company to honor a warranty 1 day after expiration, but that's up to them. This doesn't really qualify as a ripoff, though. They are well within their rights not to honor a warranty that has expired.
