Complaint Review: Penn Foster School

I am a current student in the travel school department. I chose this school becuase I believed their advertisementsof how good they are how friendly their "professors" are and how helpful..only a phone call away. I have called 5 times I think and 3out of 5 or 5 out of 7. the travel is not in. He has been on vacation 2 times in 5 months. he is not friendly and not very helpful. I was told by another teacher that the administrator has no phone and was hard to reach.

I wanted to complain about the books. There have been several typos which have caused me a great deal of time and confusion. The travel professional who is also the head of the department said it was no big deal. He was proofreading the books now. I suggested he send out a list of typos but he was not done and yet he left for another vacation while I have a set of books that may have many more errors. I got a test question wrong because the right answer was not listed. The lesson was teaching us to read a specific kind of chart. Yet when i found the right answwer..I read the chart correctly...I was told I had to pick from the answers given so I had to answer a wrong answer. Does this show I know how to read the chart?? I think it was a typo but he did not want to admit it.

I feel that this school does not live up to its own boasted reputation. I hope they are able to do what they say about getting me scheduled for the license test and so forth. I would research carefully berore I signed up with this school. Does it really exist and is it reliable. Iw ill post what I learn as I go along.
