Dear Pat, this will be long as I am hoping to jog your memory.

Not surprising you have changed your kennel name again because you do have something to hide. You do know who Amery was as he was my beloved strawberry blonde boy from you. My name is Tammy. I lost him at 14 months from PRA / rod degeneration? (it was recommended by 2 vets, Animal health center and Dr Collins from EVS which now he has since moved) that the humane thing was to put him to sleep since removing both eyes and keeping him around was only for my benefit and since he went blind so quick he couldnt handle it) and yes you did get the documentation when I picked up my replacement puppy Alexander Magnus aka Alex.

You did not let me pick my replacement puppy as there was a group of tri colored cocker puppies getting their pictures taken, that I was informed they were taken. You showed me a 1 year old adult black male that was returned to you as he had gotten food aggressive. One buff male that was returned to you at the age about 4-5 months that at the time I was told his previous owner lost her job, two other puppies that you picked out that werent weaned yet. After being at your house for the second time, The second time I was there looking at some puppies that you discounted because they had scaring on their eye from cherry eye repairs, One was a very pretty sable and the other a blonde with green eyes but at that time decided Amery was so well trained that adding another might not be good.

Since I wasnt getting a real warm and understanding feeling from you I decided that if I was going to get a replacement puppy I better pick one that was ready so that left me with the two returned dogs. One week later I received an email that had manyemail addresseson it to my work which I only emailed you once on and it had an attachment of the tri colored puppies and to give you a call as these puppies will go fast. When I emailed you, you stately the picture was sent by mistake and I wouldn't have give Alex back but really liked one of the tri colored puppies.

Anyways after two of week of Alex not laying down, he was pacing the floor non stop, freaked when he was in crate. It was suggested by the dog trainer at the club to contact the breeder (you) and get a better idea in why. I called you I was finally informed that his previous owner worked two jobs and he was crated 22 hours a day. Once I was told the truth the great trainers and a behaviorist helped me come up with a plan to fix this boy and I purchased on X pen, which then he adjusted to that much better. One week later he had a cherry eye (I know common but it is genetic), had the surgery to repair along with neutering and the one dew claw that was left on his front paw.

About month later the other eye developed a cherry eye this one was worse so we had surgery on this one as well. His behavior was getting better and the re check on his eye were looking good. Then I noticed something odd again with his eye and found out he had a lens luxation, which he had to go in for surgery for this. All went well and seemed as if he was able to see just fine. About month later the other eye had the same issue and was scheduled for surgery the next morning. I went to the store to get a few things before taking him to his surgery figuring I would be able to keep an eye on him when he came home. He was lying in his dog looking very peaceful, when I opened the door he didnt move.

I knelt down by him and found out that he had passed away. I contacted my vet and told him, he strongly felt that there was a lot more going on then we knew. I was devastated. I had called you when we were facing his third surgery and hoped maybe you would help with something was told by you that these are not dolls on a self and I need to get over it and it was my responsibility as an owner. When I lost Alex I called you about a week later after I could stop crying for more then a few minutes, to do my part as an owner so hopefully as a good breeder you claim to be, would have the parents fixed and all other related offspring also fixed unless you were able to test for these things and be sure those dogs were not carriers. Since I am not and will not be a breeder I dont all of these things but did my part to inform you and I also mailed all of the documentation to your house for all the surgeries done and other expenses that were incurred for your knowledge. I never heard any thing back from you. When I hung up with you, you never said I am sorry, You never asked what you could do. You just didnt care but anyone but you.

So no more claims that you dont know who I am and never received this stuff. I have since moved but cringe at every ad I see of your ads which happens to be many. Yes I have contacted everyone I could think of to report you. Puppyfind said my report was too old to leave my review on it which I am sure is because you pay for their service, I contacted AKC and they informed I wasnt the first but that it was a matter for Wisconsin, I contacted Wisconsin but since they are in the works for this puppy mill bill I have been put on hold. Lucky for you, you have found loop holes like farming out your breeder dogs to your partners and other puppy buyers, which is why you have had genetic issues.

Maybe you were ill when this all happened but a responsible breeder wouldnt have kept breeding until they were healthy and would have found caregivers to help with the horses, you may not have any now but two out of the times I was there you had dead young horses that need removal. I have contacted Jefferson humane society as well as was informed they know your name all too well but until Wisconsin gets their act together and maybe adds a lemon clause or something you will continue to produce un healthy animals.

So yes you do have a health guarantee which will only allow replacements never money back unless you have since changed your contract but I doubt it because that was the one thing that protected you as I didnt want a second replacement. I paid over $900 for Amery and took him to classes and he was two weeks away from his CGC then he went blind at 14 months, fed him high quality food, he went every where with me, even for my hair cuts, he was a joy. Got Alex as a replacement so free but I paid for your poor breeding practices and he suffered as well. I paid well over a thousand in just medical bills for Alex and to just have him die at 10 months was devastating. Thesewere my babies as I cant have any. They were welcomed to every family get together, they were my life, my heart and soul and to you they were just another sale.

NO worries I have already contacted Dr Collins to see if they can relocate Alex and Amerys files since they have moved it might take a bit to see if it was achieved at EVS or in their achieved files with them. I will also contact Animal Health center as well for copies of both their files as well. You will recieve them AGAIN, not that itmatters to youas you never said you were sorry for their pain and suffering but also my loss and everyoneelses that these two wonderful boys had touched their lives. My neices still think of them when they see another cocker and wonder why no one cares that you have done this to many people.

All I wanted was I am sorry and for you to do something even just to offer to do something instead you just hung up. I haven't tried to contact you on the phone recently because I feel I can't trust you anymore and since your contract only allows replacements and after having lost two of your puppies in less then 2 years I think that would have been silly.

My neices are the ones that keep saying don't give up on the boys. Someday they pray that you will change, you won't breed sick puppies anymore, Maybe you will get them fixed before they are placed, maybe you will only breed when you have a waiting list vs 2 -3 litters listed every month but just maybe you will get a real job and stop breeding animals. This isn't a hobby as you have far too many litters listed a year.

SO Enough with trying to cover your rear and claim you are responsible, You have a large number of complaints and from different sources and many listed on different websites just admit you have done wrong in the past.

Pat and I have been in contact over the last year and as life takes you done paths that no one may ever understand sometime emotions and hurt gets the best of you. Pat was amazing in trying to fix the situation and went above and beyond for me. Sadly life does take you down paths you never understand but I am in contact with my pups new fur ever home and he is doing well. I would consider pat again for a future pup when the time is right.

Hello,

I really don't have anything to do with this. I simply stumbled upon this post. Out of my years in Customer Services experience and nursing my sick dying Grandma. Who had her foot in the grave, she was never so concerned about her health that she forgot basic mannars such as "I am sorry for your loss.". While I don't have a beef or rebutal to the quality of pets this Breeder is selling, I do fine it highly rude and seriously unprofessional for her not to have apologized. At the end of the day being reputable breeder comes down to running a business. If you call any Customer Service line for a business with a quarrel about their product or quality of the product, the first thing they do is apologize.

Again to recap, no issue complaint about the quality of dogs being breed. I have no experience with this breeder. But, if we are going to confirm there is no apology that was given than that breeder was and would be in the wrong to have not apologized to that consumer. They lost something very dear to them, I understand the breeder may have had some personal health issues going on, it doesn't excuse forgetting basic mannars. The story from reading this is hard to follow, it's mentioned that she is "Kind hearted", yet when she has personal health issues now it's ok not to apologize about someone's loss? Needless to say, I disapprove of this "non-apology". Even if her dogs are show dog, grade A, top model quality I'd take my busniess else where just based on "well" the consumers complaint was handled. My personal opionion everyone is entitled to their own, you may disagree with me and that's fine.

Thank you.

I get that things happen but 2 in 2 years? even if she was sick

A responsible breeder would have stopped breeding during those trying times, if she was nearly in the grave she obviously couldn't care for herself let alone for her animals hence the deaths of the horses while I was there.

I get that things can happen but I lost two dogs in two years time. She was given all the documentation when I picked up my "replacement" puppy after the 1st one was put to sleep at 14 months of age from a genetic condition and then went through three eye surgeries and faced with a fourth on the "replacement" who passed away at 10 months time, I also mailed all the documentation  on all three surgeries to her as well and notice of cremation. Not once has she tried to resolve the situation other then the 1st "replacement puppy" why would I do another as I spent thousands in training, vet care, toys, food, supplies in hopes to have a cocker for many many years not less then 2 years. She has all the documentation not once has she tried to do anything.

I am not the only one that has had sick dogs from her. She now says she can guarantee 5 generations of no inbreeding (AKC papers mean nothing as any two dogs can be put on the papers). She still has the old lines that have these genetic issues in them so it is still being passed on from generation to generation. She still hasn't even tried to find a solution to rectify this other then blaming her buyers, she still hasn't even said "I am sorry". I am not the only one that has had issues with her dogs health so this isn't a fluke that just happened. It is from poor breeding standards as I said if she was sick she should have stopped breeding. I know she didn't as I have seen her ads often, she continued to breed them, make money off then while she was sick and could care for them properly. All I wanted was "I am sorry" and for her to find a solution. I am sure if she really wanted to finally move on from the past she would have found a way to contact me and fix this as she has my paper work.

Many of her resent good reviews are from recent puppy buyers as most genetic issues don't show up until ages 3-7 years, my 1st cocker seemed healthy until he was 14 months. I guess I must have been the lucky one to have mine occur at much younger age and loose them before the age of two, (the vets said it just shows how much was already in the lineage of her lines). The local humane society has many complaints as well on her but the state of Wisconsin's lack of laws and humane officers didn't have a way to stop her.

I am sure she cared for the breed at one time and still might but she didn't care about these two as I was told they are not dolls on shelves and to get over it. AS I said I wanted "I am sorry" from her and a solution and not a "replacement". I want her to admidt that she mad poor choices and should have stopped breeding when she was ill. I am sure she is a great friend and co breeder but she was not a responsible breeder of Amery and Alex.

I have been ill and have had tough times but during those times if I ever felt I couldn't care for my fur children and meet their needs, I would have made sure they got the care they needed and deserved no matter what tough decisions that may brought upon myself .

I would love to be able to put closure to this but until Pat provides a reasonable solution and not another replacement puppy I will continue and contact places like last chance for animals. I want an apology as well.

What trying circumstances. To loose not one but two dogs/children in such a short time is heartbreaking. Whenever such difficult scenarios are dealt, it always comes down to how youreact tothem.

I have known Pat for over twenty-five years and she has a very kind heart. She does guarantee the health of her puppies, and if something catastrophic does happen she tries the best she can to help the situation.

In your case she did offer a new dog. It seems at the time she didn't quit have the selection you would have liked but it may have just been a timing issue. Who knows but a new dog was selected, and loved, none the less.

Unfortunately this dog also had health problemsandalso passed on. While you may believe some type of conspiracy is going on and everydog Pat sells is dying,I canassure you that'shardly a successful business model. She hasn't stayed in business for over 30 years by selling unhealthy puppies. Puppies are just like people in thatevery now and then one is born with health problems that may not arise until they become older.

During the time frame this was taking placePat was very sickand she was very close to death herself. Luckily, she was able to fight back and is now in very good health.

You have to look at it in this context. If you had one foot in the grave and someone calls you because a dog you sold them died, you may not have the purest intent in your response. At the time, other things may havetaken precedence. It's just speculation but that may have indeed been the case.

In response to the reason Pat changed the name of her business, she wasn't able to work while she was sick and almost lost everything. When she got better she wanted a fresh start, hence the name change. Now that she is better she is finding out that a hand full of people, out of the hundreds that she has helped, are trying to derail everything she's worked so hard to maintain.

I can assure you that all of Pat's dogs are very healthy and if you contacted her directly now, instead of going on preaching of the devil when you really knowanything about this lady, she would still try to make things right. If that's not good enough for you and you wish to continue your crusade against her so be it.

I'm just giving my honest opinion ofthe person Iknow, and trying to correct the inaccurate things said about her while she was sick. Take it for what it's worth.
