Complaint Review: Penske Audi - Audi Of West Covina

I was looking into leasing a 2008 Audi A4 and saw on their website that they were having a special: $264/mo for 36 mos with $2,999 at lease inception. Sounds like a great deal, right? That's where they get you...

I have a 2004 Toyota Rav4 right now worth roughly $14,000 (i had it appraised at a CarMax as well as another Audi dealership). I still owe about $13,000 on it. I go in, test drive the car, go inside and have all the papers drawn up. Here it comes...

1) They value my car at $12,500 saying "the market doesn't really need any Rav's right now, besides it's in not very good condition." There are only a couple scratches on the car, it only has 35,000 miles on, I wash it practically every week and park it inside, I even have sidings on all the doors to protect it from dings.

2) My credit check comes back and, let's just say it's not the best but it's above average (in the 700-750 range) and they say "oh that deal's only good for people who have a credit score of 900."

3) Here's the deal they come back with: $420/mo with $4000 down (not including fees or taxes or title, documents, anything), not to mention that because I would still owe money on my car in this deal ($12,500 value and $13,000 still owed), they ADD MORE money onto the monthly payment so i can pay it off.

4) When I told them I wanted my keys back, they refused. I had to go into the manager's office and get my keys off his desk myself. Still, they wanted me to sit down saying I was "over-reacting," that my expectations of $14,000 for my car were "completely unrealistic," and that I "wouldn't find a better deal anywhere else." It wasn't until I told them I had my car valued at $14,000 from another Audi dealership that wanted to give me a deal of $325/mo with $3000 down for 36 mos that they finally backed off and let me leave.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM PENSKE AUDI!!!! THEY'RE RIP-OFF ARTISTS!
