Complaint Review: People Finder

Don't fall into the same trap I did, stay away from www.peoplefinder.com.  If you use their service they will continue to charge your credit card without authorization for 10 times the original amount you agreed to pay for the service that they may or may not perform. 

I authorized a .95 cent charge for a public record. Two weeks later the 24.95 charges started on my card.  When I tried to call to have the charge lifted they all but laughed at me.  they are a "quick merchant" with American Express (which reflects pretty terribly on AMEX) so it is difficult to contest their charges. 

This is a typical bait and switch situation where they offer you a .95 service and it ends up costing you 24.95 several times over.  They should be shut down and sent to jail.
