This so called company sent me an "acceptance certificate" in the mail, stating that I have been approved for a credit card with a $5000.00 limit. I have no idea how or why they got my home address. I was leary because there was no phone number or E-mail address on the letter anywhere. I decided to check it out on the internet and saw that quite a few people, on a message board, had been ripped off and were really angry. The main scam, (or rip-off) is the $45.00 annual membership fee that is due up front. ($49.00 rush delivery). Apparently, however, some individuals also claim to have had funds withdrawn from their bank account; some of them, multiple withdrawls in which they had to close the account to stop the withdrawls. I also learned that many of these people had never received anything in the mail after sending off the fee. Even after months of waiting. Hope this helps to stop this kind of fraud; it's unfortunate that the people these fraudulent companies prey upon, are usually the most financially desperate. I wouldn't say that all of them all gullable, but the promise of being able to get out from underneath some impending debt, overshadows their logic and lures them into sending in the money. In other words, they believe it because they want to believe it. I almost sent them money because I wanted to believe it to. Thankfully, I didn't. If you need any copies of the original certificate that was sent to me, I would be more than willing to send them to you. Sydney Lemon Grove, California
