Peoples Prescription Plan, they will not stop billing my credit card!

I agreed to try Peoples Prescription Plan in April of 2001. I chose a one-time, 6-month period payment plan using my credit card in order to limit my trial period to 6 months and to prevent direct monthly (and ongoing, going, going...) billings.

After using the plan a couple of times and trying to use it at other times, I realized that the savings (or non-savings as the case may be) did not justify the expense of the plan. I called Peoples Perscription Plan to cancel my membership and receive the refund guaranteed in the promotional information in June of 2001.

I was told my account would be cancelled and I would receive a credit to my account for the amounts billed in two to three weeks. This did not happen. It is now December 2001 and Peoples Prescription Plan is still billing my credit card each month. I have called the credit card company to dispute the charges. I have emailed Peoples Prescription Plan expressing my desire to have the billings stopped and amounts refunded. All of this to no avail.

My next step is to report my problem to my state's Attorney Generals Office. Maybe they can help. Does anyone out there know how to get Peoples Perscription to stop billing my credit card? doclevingston@yahoo.com
