Peoples Rebates Association fraudulent dishonest company scam California
I received a phone call on my cell phone telling me that I'd been approved for $2,500. This was the first red flag, since the only thing I can get approaved for is a credit card with a $300 limit. I ask if it's a credit card, she says no their company just co-signs at the bank for a loan. Red flag number two. I asked for a call back number, she says the system only has a customer service number that you can dial once you're a customer. Red flag number three. I say "ok, do you have a direct line that I can call you back at? I want to look you up on Better Business Bureau and call you back". She says "We're with the Better Business Bureau" and hangs up on me.
I know what to look for so they didn't scam me, but it's only a matter of time so beware! Any company that refuses to give you a call back number and hangs up when you say you want to look them up on BBB is BAD news.
