The company called me and told me that I was approved to receive a Visa card with a limit of $2500 and 0% interest for the first year. As a person with bad credit this seemed to be a great offer and of course I took it without researching the information they had given me. I was unaware that this type of scam was so common.

After numerous calls to the "Customer service line" I was told that I would be receiving my package within a few days. What I received were a bunch of useless coupons and information for legal services, etc. They told me in the initial phone call that all I needed to do was pay a fee of $299.95 and my card would be mailed to me.

This was completely false. The information that I received states that I will be receiving an application for a stored value MasterCard from the bank within 10 days.

I have reported this to the Better Business Bureau, My County procecutors office and the Federal Trade commission. I feel completely foolish for falling for this type of scam.

The worst part is I was planning a trip to Las Vegas in two weeks and that was to be my primary funds for spending money while there. I will now have to cancel my trip because they are not sending any type of Credit Card and I do not have the spending money I needed to go.

Please make as many people aware of this as you can. It is unfortunate that I had to learn the hard way. I wish I had known about this before I stupidly signed up for something that was so boggus.
