PeopleSmart.com works hard to be at the top of the search engine when you enter a name of a person. They rig their listing to imply you can find out information about the person for FREE by clicking the search engine listing. Once you click they entice you into a 7 day free trial by showing lots of green check marks next to the persons name. For example, they deliberately tried to show me that they would give me the address of the person whose phone number I entered. But after inducing me to join with the green check marks, they announce that it costs 95 cents to get the information. All of this is carefully crafted to induce me and trick me into paying. Once I paid the money, they showed the true facts. They dont know the address. But if I pay more money, as the site tells their story, I can do deeper research and learn the address. At this point in the FRAUD, they have hidden the fact that in 7 days they will start charging $19 per month as a member. But at the same time they show boxes that entice you into becoming a member, now that you are logged in, they deliberately try to convince you that you are not yet in the 7 day trial... that way you will relax and not cancel BUT if you try to find the link to cancel, good luck. Its hidden. You have to parse every word on the site to find a link. Its not on the menus. Its burried in a little paragraph that has nothing to do with cancelling membershiip. AND once you click, they do it again. They make you find the little word in a paragraph to take you to yet another place. And then they give you more inducements to SIGN UP, as if there is nothing to cancel. But deep down in the page you can click again.. to find your way to the account cancellation. Finally I did cancel. When I called the support line, they acted like nothing misleading happens on their site.. the site they designed to fraudulently induce memberships, and then hide cancellations. THESE PEOPLE ARE DISGUSTING. It is not a real business. It is an internet scam operating within a thin legal framework. They are so foul, they dont even care what you think of them.
