I am glad i came acrooss this site..Back in January i took my minivan to this store about 11 am for a front in brake job which was on their board for around 130 $.

while waiting some big shot was there visiting the store and all employees were very polite,as soonas he leftthey reverted back to being jerks.a couple was there because when pep boys changed their tires they somehow damaged their rims ,so pep boys gave them "used rims" as a replacement and the guy wanted new ones as the rims the damaged were nearly new.

meanwhile its around 1230pm and my car is still sitting in lot,so i ask what is going on at the counter and they act like they are doing me a favor by even talking to me,but they tell me i should be next.

well i am hungry so i go to a fast food nearby and come back in about 40 minutes ,

i see my car still in lot and it is close to 130pm by now and i go to counter again and the guy tells me "we are working on it now" and i say "thats funny cause its still in the lot" and the guy says "well the key is off their board so they must be pulling it in"

and I say....well i did'nt say anything cause he scooted into the forbidden garge are where i could'nt take up anymore of his valuable time.

meanwhile every customer is in this really bad waiting room that the floor has'nt been swept or mopped in who knows how long.

the only thing to do is buy little snacks from some young lady who is wearing a "don't ask me " t-shirt ,REALLY!,
so not being born yesterday i realize they are working on the wrong voyager!!but they don't know cause they are the pep pro"s.I figure i have wasted four hours and figure i in for the long haul.

Meanwhile i have learned that one key can fit many different cars,so when anothe customer said "these are'nt my keys .they realize the gave the wrong customer the keys ,

they did not notice and drove off cuz certain models or something can have almost any key start them.so they had to contact that customer ,(you leave your phone number when you fill out the forms).

well that customer did not get her keys back until after six and the employees ,espicillay the store manager were laughing at her w.they closed at six that day for inventory,so she had to bang at the door to be let in .

she had gone home with her car ,but her husband had to come by with a spare set,but she had to come back to get her orignal keys.

Meanwhile, i go back to the counter and inquire about my mini van which is still in the parking lot.

He tells me it should be done soon like 10 minutes and i am really eating this crap up so i say sweetly, "wow that is amazing cause my car is still in the parking lot"
Yes ,sweet revenge,his face turns three shades of purple and contorts into something fron a stephen king book.

it seem that although i was waiting in the waiting area,they had called my house ,spoke with my 17 year old son and gotten permission to work on the car from him.

the total bill would have been close to 500$with a full service brake job.

Well,the thing that realy made me mad ,was the 1230 conversation when the guy did not let me emphasis the fact that my car was in the lot.

when he diapeared into the garage area when i was still talking to him.

well finally and it is around 330- 400 pm now they get to my car and although they qouted me a $130 price they came out to about 230$ with a free oil change they gave ,

which when i checked the fluid a week later was empty.the repair was fine ,no complaint the work it was the service that was crazy,

it was the absulute backward ,opposite ,the bizarro world of pleasing the customers .

naturally i have never been back,you have lost a customer forever.i don't go there for parts , not for a cleaning rag,not for washer fluid,not for a quart of oil. Nothing.

I am glad you replied, no there was not a woman going around selling snacks, she worked at the counter.I tried to inform you that the car was still in the lot, but the counter disappeared into the garage. What is the response to calling my teenage son and getting the go-ahead for a full service break job when i just needed the front breaks? not to mention i was in the waiting area while the call was placed. and how did i know about all the other customers problems.. because you all were talking about other customers behind their back in front of other customers.I agre with Mary.. take your car elsewhere, where the customer is regarded as valued, not the employees time to talk it through.

Look at the defensive attitude of this manager. Observe his sarcasm and his denegration of the situation. Is there any wonder that Pep Boys has such a bad customer problem.

This happened to me. They destroyed my air conditioning system and treated me like I was the problem because I had to keep bringing my car back.

I guess this is how they train their management; bring in the customers and if they complain - treat 'em like sh*t!

Dear consumers,

Its pretty funny that I came upon this bad report on my store.Yup thats right,my store.I happen to be the store manager of this location in Raynham Ma.

I also remember the whole incident mentioned earlier.Yes it is true that our regional manager was at the store during our inventory time, and as everyone knows inventory isnt to much fun to begin with,not to mention he was there.

Our Raynham store has been through a lot of changes esp. around that time. The whole management team was new in that store including the service manager,wich I do beleive who was the person that was dealing with these customers.

Yes unfortunately car keys can some times fit more than one vehicle,and create nightmares.As this person stated above they kept checking on their voyager that wasnt even theirs,so whos fault is that?,not ours,next time speek up,dont be an idiot.

The thing about buying snacks from some young lady is that we dont have young ladies walking around selling snacks,so I dont know where you were going with that statement.It seems you may have been giving money to strangers for candy.

The lady who was banging on our door had good reason to be banging on the door seeing we were closed and we dont usually let people in when we are closed esp. for inventory.But guess what everything we did to her van was free.And yes we did such a good job on her van she comes back regularly for service.

Our store is a totaly differant world compare to the experiance they have had.We are rated one of the top stores in our district and continue to deliver on our promise."we help people get the most out of their cars".If a problem arises it gets resolved then and there period.

It seems like some people just like to make more trouble then what its worth.If that person had just spoke up from the begining about the wrong minivan being brought in,none of this would of even happened.But like always its Pep Boys fault No on elses.
