I went to the Pepboys at the location stated above, for an initial tune-up and brakes. I'd taken my auto into Pepboys on 03-03-00. We had our previous brakes serviced by Pepboys, which included a lifetime brakes. Since we were having a tune-up done, we asked that Pepboys give us a routine brake inspecton.

We also purchased some new hub caps to go on the tires and some other accessories to go on the car when they finish. $134.94 worth of accessories. The tune-up and brakes repair work cost 779.11. I asked the auto serviceman if he could prevent the clicking noise my air conditioner makes when I turn it on. The serviceman said that he could.

I said O.K. then I'll leave the automobile here and you call me when it's done. We ( my husband and I) called for a rental car( from Enterprise Rental Company) to come and pick us up from Pepboys. The Serviceman gave us a call at home to let us know that, the only way he can remove the clicking noise the air conditioner makes, is to replace the entire air compressor and put a new one in. I said O.K. call me when the auto is ready, and since he would be servicing the auto for a few days; we would like the handles locks on the car repaired.

The servicesman stated he would, that would not be a problem. We picked the car up on 03-09-2000. The costs for these repairs were $599.38. We taken the auto home and parked. We needed to drive downtown for the day and decided to take the car. While on the road, it started to get hot, so we elected to turn on the air-conditioner and it blew only hot-air. We were about 50 miles or more from Pepboys. We turned the car around and returned the car back to Pepboys. We were being helped by Pepboys automotive supervisor Mr. Maurice Owens.

Mr. Maurice Owens said he would check the car out. Mr. Owens taken our auto back into Pepboys garage. Mr. Owens said he would check the car out. he put a can of leak finder in the auto and did a diagnostic on our auto. Mr. Owens stated: The Serviceman at Pepboys (Mr. Cronin)who worked on my auto busted the evaporator, the fuel injectors, and valves, and that the problem would corrected at no charge. Pepboys called me in May to say the auto was ready for pick up.

Mr. Owen and I went for a test drive, However the air-conditioner did not work and the car jerks. Mr. Owen said the Auto had to stay at Pepboys so they can get someone to fix our car right. Mr. Owens phoned me again about a week later to inform me the the auto was ready and that I could come and pick it up.

When I got there, the Serviceman taken me outside to take the auto for a test run however, the car would not start After several months I was told to come and get my car off of their lot, because they are having it towed or else give them more money. I told Pepboys manager ( Mr. Scott J. Goldufsky) that I have it in writing that Pepboys would correct the damages they caused to my auto at no charge.

I had to called the police and told them I wanted to file a complaint because Pepboys machinic Mr. Cronin damaged my car and didn't want to fix it. The serviceman called me a (((REDACTED FOUL LANGUAGE))) and told me to take my car somewhere else and sue them for the damages. We didn't want that hassle. When the police arrived the Manager pledded with my husband and I, not to file charges and stated he would repair the damages Pepboys caused to our auto.

The Police witnessed this agreement and left. We are good and fair people. We kept our auto in excellent shape. This is the only automobile we had to get around in.

Words can not explain how we felt being treated like this. In November of 2000, I received a postcard from the Junk yard stating they were smashing my car by the end of the month if I don't give them over $580.00.

With interest incurring everyday I don't come and get the auto. I had called customer services so many times, talk to store managers. Mr. Maurice Owens had been fired because he tried to help us.

My entire request fell on deaf ears. I'd paid a total of $1513.43 in one week and like my husband and I was treated.

I went to the town hall and our auto the Pepboys has towed, is being driven by someone who is committing all kinds of traffic ticket, from D.U.I's, running lights, high speed chases and telling the police that he is my husband.

We kept our insurance and registration the glove compartment. The Police immediately had the DMV put a stop on the Lic. plates. Not to mention my family and I had the auto all packed up to go on vacation.

Our fishing, and camping gear, also the new accessories were all in that auto. We even had a new CD player installed by BestBuy the day before the auto went to Pepboys.

I have all the receipts and diagnostic tests that were perform on my auto. As proof to the truth of my statement as well as bank record regarding payments made to Pepboys.
