I bought  a Bosch battery for my car on 11/15/2008 from Pep Boys. It had a 3 year warranty.

On 05/12/2010 I could not start my car.
I called my AAA emergency service. They charged the battery ,but didi not hold he charge.
They adviced me to tow the car to the dealer because they did not the cause for the problem.
After the car reached the dealer, they found out it was a bad battery ,was completely dead.

They replaced the battery and everything is Ok.

I contacted the Pep Boys and they said that they would it replace the battery for free, if I took the car to them.

Why would I want another bad battery that didn't last even  2 years?//

 I want my money back.
I think it is only fair.

Not a ripoff...

Sorry but this is not a rip-off. While it was a inconvience it appears that Pep Boys tried to make it right. Also just because the first battery died does not mean another one will any manufacture can make a defective product and if you read the warranty you will see it is for a replacement and usually it is prorated meaning the new battery will have the remaining time left on the original purchase, in this case about 1.5 years.

So this is not a rip-off!
