I had all 3 motor mounts replaced in Houston Texas. On drive to El Paso, transmission gave out. (Now, I believe motor mounts might have contributed to this)

Had car towed 140 miles to Guthries Transmission in El Paso as I was stranded in desert. Had transmission rebuilt and motor mounts replaced. Motor mounts exchanged at Pep Boys via Lifetime warranty. 3 days later they were replaced again as they fell apart.

12 months later same problem but this time it ruined my new transmission. Motor mount rubber falls apart and metal rod slips. Brandon, sales manager #753 tried to arrange a deal but store manager said "sorry." He never showed his face to me.

They would replace motor mounts but I would have to pay for labor. I paid twice for labor. Guthries paid once to replace. Pep Boys wanted to send motor mounts to maker to examine. Yeah Right! 4 sets of motor mounts, same maker same Auto Parts Store in 18 months? As for any other damage, they would be happy to repair as long as I paid.

Great deal for Pep Boys. Buy and sell Inferior cheap parts with warranty and customer pays over and over for shop fees. I warn everyone Do Not Take You Care To Pep Boys. I had invested 3,500 on maintenance on my vehicle, so owners lack of care is not the problem.

Now I am paying over $800.00 to have transmission rebuilt again. Pep Boys Sells Crap. Brandon was a nice salesperson with no power to address problem. Wonder if there is a data base with the number of motor mounts gone bad.
