Dear Customer Service, We had made a trip from Garland TX. to St. Louis MO. on vacation. We made it as far as N. Little Rock AR. This was on 05/11/2019. We had stopped at a place to have a meal. My 2011 Honda Odyssey would not start in the parking lot.

A nice man gave us a jump start and we were getting ready to get on the highway and the van just stopped and I had to push it off the road with the help of the guy that had just helper to get us going. We had many miles to go, so we called for a tow. The tow truck driver called Pep Boys and we made it to Pep Boys. I was told that it was the alternator and the cost would be around $800.00.

I did not complain at the time because we did not want to be stranded. I felt that the $800.00 was way over priced. The mechanic disconnected our X.M. radio and we had no radio at all. I believe at that time, that all we needed was a battery. We made it home and was on Forest Lane in Dallas and the van did the same as it did on 05/11/19. This was 05/21/19 only 10-days later.

I was able to drive it to the Pep Boys on Forest Lane. The Pep Boys in Dallas told me that the alternator needed to be replaced and it appears that the issue has been the battery all along. The alternator in Ar. cost me $456.01 and the alternator in TX. cost $278.99. I ended up paying out $908.27, and all needed was a $89.99 battery. The $456.01 alternator was taken off in 10-days and now I have a cheaper one that cost $278.99.

I as a customer believe that I was not treated fair in this case and that I have been Ripped Off in AR. If they had done their job correctly we would have only had to pay for a new battery and saved me around $800.00. PLEASE RESPOND UNHAPPY CUSTOMER Robert V McLennan (((REDACTED))) Garland TX.
