It happens in Every state

Gary this type of thing happens all the time in every state. They (the courts) turn over the child support cases to a private agency and allow them not only to collect the child support due, but also to charge a fee for the "service" to the children and spouses that receive the support. I forget the name of the agency in TN but they have had numerous lawsuits filed against them for double and even TRIPLE billing the paying spouse.

I can only think of one lawsuit that wasn't thrown out and it was settled for no reimbursements to the paying parent but only an apology and the following comment: "since you were able to pay it, your kids probably needed it more." No comments that if the money wasn't paid they would have put me in jail.

You can have all the proof in the world that the money was paid and who it was paid to or collected by but the fact remains that the states allow these companies to collect "for the children" so you will be lucky to get any over payments back. In fact you may even be forced to pay what they consider rearages and then file for reimbursements.
Good Luck with it

Can you speak to someone at the company where your wages were attached? It would help if you could get a print out about how much was paid, when it was paid, and who the check was made out to for payment. If you can get all of that information, plus your court papers together, then contact an attorney to get this matter straightened out.

Support Bureau says I owe back support after all these years of paying. which I don,t see how this can be for my payments where payroll deducted.
Now there trying to collect double the amount. was at support bureal and was told they have not audited there books in seven years.

In 2000 my son was terminated from support payments and only one support was ordered for was my daughter. Lady at support bural said there was no court order for my son.

On July 30 2004 all support orders where terminated. By Judge David E Stucki. And Ms Shanle
of Stark County CSEA sent out letters that support terminated.

My Question do I have enough information for
to go to court to fight this and win my case.
