I own a ambulance service and needed a good transmission. I have had a lot of trouble with the Ford Stock Trannys. Purchased a new rebuilt E4OD Enforcer from this company,(thier top of the line daily user.) I paid $1,975.50. I paid an employee to go and pick it up, over 400 miles round trip. I put the transmission in my self. Filled it with fluid, transmission wouldn't shift right.( got done at 1:00am in the morning).

Called in the moring, gave me a couple of thing to check out, including blown fuses( that was an argument for 2 days.)Finely they agreed it was something faulty in the transmission. it would shift into low gear. told me to bring it in. i paid 2 of my employees to take the ambulance to Shreveport and they would fix it. Gave them a credit card and told them if they had to spend the night find. Got to Shreveport, hooked the computer to the truck, showed torque converter out of range and shifter sylenoid bad. They said they could get to it until tomorrow.

They were told that was fine. then they said ti would be a couple of days worth of work-bullshit and since tomorrow was friday they couldn't get it done until next week. they told my crew that the transmission was good and it wouldn't hurt to drive it back. gave them a list of what was wrong and told them to get it fixed back in Arkansas somewhere. I called, they said they would not pay for it. Transmission is slipping, it was all they could do to get back.

Not a bad record

Only 13 complaints in three years? That's not a bad track record. Does the company even know there are complains on the BBB about them? This was a DIY job. They dealt with the consumer after there were problems. They found it wasn't their product and the consumer said they would deal with it themselves. They did this on a busy Friday and still diagnosed the problem for free. If you install a part yourself and don't follow the factory installation, don't complain when it doesn't work. They tried to save money when in the long run, they should have had a local professional buy it and install it. Then it falls on the local mechanic. This is the risk you assume when you do this.

GL, it's not PATC's problem.

Lets see you bought a tranny from these folks it went bad and he offered excuse after excuse at to why it wasn't his fault yet it's obviously a problem he is responsible for. Yes it was friday so the wait is expected but the quality of the product and quality of customer service shows for itself. I just wonder how many other's PATC has ripped off. The BBB has 13 complaints in the last 3 years against these guys that they have yet to respond too. I wonder why. It's no doubt Performance Automotive and Transmission Center sell bad products and it will catch up to them sooner or later.

You know when you sell a bench job,, You are taking the position that the person you sell it to has the knowledge and equipment to do a proper diagnostic on the car, truck or what ever. So after you sell the transmission and the guy put it in and I did not see where you said any bolts are missing all the wires connected and of coarse he flushed the lines(and if he didn't that could make the solenoid not work) and I'm sure you have a clause in the receipt that states he must have and do all of this. Then of coarse its your problem but if you didn't tell or inform the customer that he had to do a proper install by the book then of coarse its the shops problem and you should be made to fix it for free. The only thing I wonder is if the place used to be known as Allstate transmission?

They said they couldn't wait

Customer showed up on a Friday from out of state when we where very busy. We check it out with a Snapon scanner and determaned the problem to be a non-transmission problem. The scanner had a code for a bad throttle position sensor. They said they couldn't wait and would have it fixed down the street at another shop.
