I have owned a 2,257.00$ tansmission, from Performance Automotive and transmission center, that last me 5000 miles. I am 25 years old and drive my 25,000$ SS Comaro like a old man.(unless I am at drag strip)

The tansmission preformed great at the strip.... no complants. I was driving home on the 9th of Dec. when the trany wouldn't shift into 4th. I was driving normally with only 340hp to the wheels.

Performance automotive and transmission center told me on the phone, the day I placed the order, that I should be fine with my applecation (340+150nos HP). They didn't tell me that the 600 houres power transmission would not work with the nos.

They are willing to work with me, but read Israel's report and ask yourself, Would you send it back????? I know I can't build a tansmission, but Performance Automotive and Transmission center think they can... If you are a happy with your 4L60E 600hp tansmission from Performance Automotive and Transmission center and have owened it longer and put more miles on it than I have, let me know.

First off, if you ran nitrous on a transmission that was not authorized for use, then you are in the wrong. Nitrous "shocks" parts, its hard on them to get an instant slam of whatever HP shot you are running.

Second, you cannot build transmissions, plain and simple. Guys who can, DONT BUY FROM ANYONE!!! ELSE! Period! There are many different ways to set the same transmission and MANY different parts you can use on any same transmission. That means every builder has his own way of doing things and that is the "right" way. Many methods can be acceptable, just not all right.

You should take the issue up with PATC, if REALLY said that the trans would be fine, you have nothing to worry about and they should fix it, free. If they didnt know you were running "squeeze" (nitrous) then you are at fault for not asking the right questions and getting a warranty written on the issue.
