Complaint Review: Performant Recovery

I got information in the mail from Preformant Recovery and responded immediately with all of the information they requested.  I let them know what I could afford.  I was told that because I worked only part time I qualified for a program to get my loans out of default for a reduced price of only 5.00 a month.  I had already given them my bank information since I was totally willing to pay what I could.

I have already been told if I am late with the 5.00 payment I would be disqualified for the loan repayment program so they will continue to have access to my bank account??

This morning I woke up to find they had withdrawn 500.00 from my account leaving me 75.00 overdrawn.  No food and no way to pay my rent.  I am 62 years old and I work part time, housing the homeless and now it seems I may be one.

Rather then take what I could give they preferred to rape me financially.  I was a sucker primarily because I had dealt with a reputable agency with my non-federally guarantied loans who were professional and appreciated my desire to do all that I could.
