A clean cut 18/19 year old solicited a donation from our home under the guise of his American Youth Baseball League Team the Blackhawks having won a regional championship in San Diego recently and that he was helping to fund raise to help less fortunate members of the team travel to their championship in Maui because their sponsor Ammo energy drinks had dropped out.

Given that league baseball is an all year round deal in CA I didn't think too much of this until I read the clauses on the sales receipts for the magazines which lead me to search for the league and other things mentioned in the conversation.

To that end I have not been able to verify the existence of the American Youth Baseball League or the team name. I have been able to find stories using a near exact script of my conversation around the country regarding a sports team championship alluding to neighbors generosity and other items.
