I was contacted via cell phone that I had won a watch in a sweepstakes and that all I needed to do to claim it was sign up for a magazine service the company offered. I agreed and accepted the terms, noting the cancellation deadline.

I called the following two days at various times, but was unable to reach any representative because the lines were "very busy." I left multiple messages requesting the cancellation of my subscription, and never received a call to confirm it. I assumed that it had been done and last month received a letter stating that my account was seriously delinquent of payment and that if not paid, the company would follow with legal action.

I called multiple times again, not able to reach a representative. I paid the debt and today I finally received a phone call, and the representative said I still owed the 260-some-odd dollars. I'm a bit fed up with this, and they won't be getting another dime out of me until I get my watch.
