Perri's Furniture Perri "Baits and switches" on marked price, offers discount and arrives at original marked price. Carrollton Texas
Owner had fairly expensive mirror hung on the wall high enough where the consumer could not see the marked price on the price tag. When we inquired and liked the mirror the owner, as an inducement to buy, offerred a $100.00 discount on the price and quoted a price with the supposed discount.
We agreed to purchase and the owner, while we were paying for the several items we bought, instructed her employee to bring down the mirror and wrap it for safe transport. When we arrived at home and hung the mirror we noticed that the price marked was exactly what we had paid for, therefore we really didn't get any discount promised.
We called the owner to try and remedy this situation and we were given excuses that this was an old price that was marked. When did she raise the price, right on spot to induce the customer to buy? She did concede that she would discount the $100.00 but that we would have to purchase an additional $500.00 in merhandise. Is she going to claim that the marked prices are "old" and she will adjust accordingly. This lady in our mind is just a ripoff artist.
