I bought this little bundle of joy a chihuahua I named Napolien from a pet store in Lousiania. They told me he was a tea-cup (meaning he would stay small), boy was that a lie. He is now 12lbs and huge. I love him and would not trade him for the world, but for the price I paid I could have gotten 2 regular dogs, and they could have kept each other company.

No reputable breeder would EVER sell one of their animals to a pet store. The dogs in those stores come from straight up puppy mills where the animals are kept in disgusting conditions. The people who run these puppy mills care nothing for the animals, only for the money they make seling them to the pet store. They breed animals indiscriminantly, regardless of any problems the animal has that should keep it from being bred.

COnsider yourself thankful you've got a healthy dog and the next time you want a dog, either check out the local pound, a breed rescue group (both will be cheaper than a breeder OR a pet store), or look up a reputable breeder. The state or national club of whatever dog breed you want should be able to provide you with a list of GOOD breeders.

When will people learn?

I am sorry you are disappointed in your dog, but you are lucky he is healthy. There is no such thing as a teacup or pocket sized dog. Those are just cutesy names to con people out of more money for smaller and often less healthy pups.

Your puppy came from a puppy mill. Look up puppymills, I dare you. You will be sickened by what you learn. Please people, DO NOT BUY FROM PETSTORES because you are supporting the pyppymill industry if you do.
