Brides of Metro Detroit beware of LaShawn Michelle Tyler! She grossly overcharges and then fails to deliver items that meet bride's expectations. Of 4 weddings that she was hired to provided services for 3 brides asked for refunds.
For example, a bride's contract stated that the aisle runner delivered by Petals of Distinction would be monogrammed. Instead of sending the custom aisle runner, Tyler sent a $20 aisle runner purchased at Walmart (Tyler charged $100). At the same wedding, the bride was supposed to have a gobo on the dance floor and near the cake table at the reception. Tyler sent miniscule black stickers instead of the custom gobo she promised (she charged around $100). Another instance is that pew bows that were to be used contained dead callalillies.
Michelle is more concerned with making the maximum amount of money than she is with making sure a bride's vision for her wedding day becomes a reality. She promises exquisite decor and immaculate flowers; however, everything she delivers is subpar. In the time that I worked with her, I observed the following: missing and/or wrinkled linens, programs printed from home ink jet printers, mismatched linens and sashes, stained arches, and dead flowers among other things.
Her website lists her company's address as 3319 Greenfield, it should list 5801 Southfield Expressway as her base of operation is the Double Tree hotel. Additionally, she does not pay her employees. She is disorganized.
