Complaint Review: Pete's Towing

Pete's Towing strikes again. Yesterday I was parked behind a restaurant in Ybor City having lunch only to watch my car go by courtesy of Pete's Towing. I called them and explained that the car was taken by mistake. Pete asked to talk to the owner and he would not assess any charges. I had the restaurant owner and the building manager call. In the short time (5 min) between calls Pete story suddenly changed. Even though both the restaurant owner and building manager explained it was a mistake to tow, Pete nailed me for $140. I have filed a complaint with the Hillsborough Public Transportation Commission and would encourage others to do so. The PTC is responsible for licensing towing companies. If there are enough complaints they will lose their license.
