Complaint Review: Peter Farrell Supercars Inc DBA JW Motors

Peter Farrell Supercars, Inc DBA JW Motors JW Motors They misled me about the vehicle safety and maintenance records of the vehicle I purchased. After 45 days of owning the vehicles I had to have extensive repairs made, including 3 items that would have not passed safety inspection. I was told that a thorough dealer check had been done, when in fact it was not. I was told the fluids had been changed, when in fact, upon inspection by a certified Honda dealer they had not been changed recently, if ever. Manassas Virginia

I went with my son to purchase a 2004 Honda Pilot from JW Motors in Manassas, VA.  The salesman didn't even know the interior color after I called and asked him specifically if it were gray.  It wasn't.  It was what they called "saddle"...  I asked if all the fluids had been changed and checked and was told yes.  Upon independent review, it was determined they had not been changed, in fact perhaps for the entire life of the vehicle.  I asked to see the dealer inspection report and was told there was none.  I asked to see the Carfax, and was told it "wasn't available".  I did buy the vehicle.  After 45 days we had it looked at by a Honday dealer in Northern VA.  They found 3 items that would have failed a safety inspection.  We had friven the vehicle about 1400 miles.  I had to have about $3,000 worth or work done just to make the car safe to drive.  I contacted JW Motors about this, and they have failed to contact me back.  I sent 5 phone calls, and 2 e-mails and have not spoken with anyone other than the salesman.  The GM and owner cannot be bothered.  They refuse to stand behind their product.

Mr. Nichols bought a 2004 Honda Pilot with 122,000 miles on it for only $7600.00. He drove it for several weeks without any issues reported to us. He then takes it to a franchised Honda dealership that of course picked it apart. Mechanics at these dealerships are paid on commission. The more faults they can find and fix the more money they make. The terms of our contract stated that all work must performed by us. You cannot have $3000 worth of work performed at the shop of your choice and expect me to pay the bill. Much of the work done was routine and preventative maintenance. If a covered issue is reported to us within the terms of our agreement we will always gladly take care of it.
