Peter Gaynor is a cheat, fraud, crook, thief, and every other vile name you could use. His slick-looking websites and serpent-tongued ads are conning people into working for him and taking the rap.

I purchased a keyboard from Peter on eBay, but he used an assumed name (who I will call "Helen".) When I didn't hear from "Helen" I looked her up online and found her contact info. She received my cashier's check (big mistake on my part) and deposited it, but did not have a keyboard to sell, and had not used her eBay account.

Helen told me that she worked for someone named Peter Gaynor. Finally, when I threatened to cancel the deal, Peter called me. He agreed to send the keyboard, so I said I would go through with it. Twenty minutes later I called him back and left a message that I was cancelling the deal.

Two days later Helen said the keyboard was shipped anyway, and gave me the tracking number. I looked it up (Airpostman.com), but I had never heard of the company. I investigated the site thoroughly, and found it suspicious.

When I called the 800 number, it was always busy. So was Peter's number. Red flags were waving all over the place, and I contacted Helen, filed a report with the FBI, and filed a report with eBay.

Incidentally, when I requested Peter's contact info on eBay (he used the ID of sjgreenday), a NEW name appeared, along with another bogus phone number.

When I sent Helen a copy of another ripoff report about Peter Gaynor, she forwarded it onto Peter. His two-word reply revealed his foul language as well as his uncouth business practices.

Peter has numerous websites, all which appear legit at first. But strangely a genuine user cannot find any direct info about how to send packages through this company.

Peter's ads appear on the Vault Job Board (www.vault.com) and I see that he is putting up a major scam with his multiple internet sites. PLEASE file reports with the FBI and local authorities. He deserves to be caught!!! Fortunately for me, Helen did not send me money to Peter. It appears I will get my money returned. However, I fear for others who will become Peter's prey. If you have info, please contact me.

I am another Ebay member. I was supposed to send him $2465.00 for a Rolex watch. I found him suspicious from the start of the transaction. I asked to use a scrow company and he said that it was dangerous as there are too many frauds around (the cheek!). He told me that he would send me the watch by courier with a track number and that then I should send a wire transfer. Went on to his website www.airpostman.com and found all very dodgy....then googled the company and found your website. Thank God you guys left a report for this beast. I hope he is caught.
I have reported him to Ebay big time and I have not sent him any money. I live in the UK. I hope the FTC and Ebay do something about him soon, before he rips off people.

Layne~

I will be the FIRST in line to agree with you as to how rotten Peter Gaynor is, and I look forward to his capture and PROSECUTION (and trust me, I will be thrilled to see this jerk in cuffs!). I want to make a suggestion to you... PLEASE contact the FTC (AKA The Federal Trade Commission) and file a report. When he scammed me, I filed a complaint with the local police department, and then contacted the FBI. I was then told that the FBI would not handle this type of foul play, and was told to contact the FTC.

By all of us "victims" working together, we are going to find him and make him pay.... remember, they DID find Saddam, so I am confident we are going to eventually find "Peter" too... :]
