Peter's Chevrolet Chrysler Jeep ripoff by selling a bad car and putting wrong information on the contract. Longview Texas
I went to Peters Chevrolet Chrysler Jeep to buy a brand new car in Oct 2003. It was a Chevy Cavilier ls. Nice car I thought. I have had it in and out of the shop since. By Oct 2004, I realized by accident about the contract not being right after the car had been in the shop 3 times.
The contract was filled right but the numbers were all wrong.
Here are a few examples. I was supposed to get 5 thousand for trade-in and only received 3500 for it. I was only supposed to pay for 5 years and now I have to pay 6 years. I can not trade the car because I am so far upside down. I have tried talking to the saleman, but he was fired. So was the financial man. There was more conflicts in the contract.
I then asked why they were fired. Iwas told for not doing the contracts with the right numbers. Just what they had done with mine. I had asked what should I do. I was told to talk to the new financial manager. Nothing was done. So I called Nuvulle which which had the loan. After multiple attemps and many people later, nothing was done. They told me to talk to the salesman.
In the meantime, I had the car in and out the shop. Windows not rolling up or down, air control button not working, console broke into 4 pieces, defrosting quit, and cd player stop working and warrenty paid for it all.
I was complaining the whole time. Nothing, except Gm extended the warrent for another yaer or 12000 miles. After that, I had to pay out of pocket.
The end of last year I talked to the general manager, he tried to help but could not do it. He tried to trade-in my car for something bigger. He couldn't get it approved. Which was good because he was going to make it worse.
I had tried to talk to Randy Peters which is the owner. I was either told he was on vacation or in a meeting. Finally, after the car was back in the shop again, I got to talk to him. His reaction was he wouldn't, couldn't,and won't do anything. I asked about the salesman. He didn' fire him for that. He also claimed he has only had 1 vacation in 2 years. He also made a comment he couldn't wave a majic wand to fix anything. All he would do is have the shop keep fixing my car, and when the warrent goes ou; they'll call GM and have them fix it for free.
I don't know about anyone else, but I can't keep dragging my kids up there everytime to get it fixed. This was a brand new car; it shouldn't be doing this. I refuse to pay out of my pocket.
Don't ask about the lemon law. My problem does't qualify for it. I thought about striking in front of Peter's but I was afraid of the cops getting me my kids. So I am going to put an ad in the paper. I will never buy another Chevy as long as I live. They are rude and unwilling to help their customers. All they want is the money. I shouldn't be going through this after bringing this up 2 years ago. Plus my car is still not fixed.
Also, many dealerships told me They have Dealt with Peters customers and trying to help them. I'm not the only one, just I'm the one making the biggest fuss. They told me never do buisness with them again.
