If I could give this dealership a 0/10 I would.  The only redeeming quality about Peterson Toyota is their sales team.

I am an Active Duty Air Force Medic.  I don't have much money, but was looking into trading in my unreliable car for something in better shape in preparation for an upcoming transition.

Thinking that Peterson Toyota was a reputable dealership, I figured I would be in good hands.  As it turns out, Peterson Toyota is a money grubbing dealership that has scumbag managers. They don’t give a crap that what they sold me was a chunk of metal death trap that was disguised as a car. They don’t care that the used “car” they sold me was supposed to go to auction and should have NEVER been sold at their dealership. They think that it’s ok to put a piece of poo safety hazard on their lot, slap their name on it to deceive trusting customers into thinking it’s a quality car and then, when it breaks down less than 24 hours later, hide behind the fact that is was sold “as is”. Now the money that I have been saving the past few months to pay my bills during my transition, visit my recently widowed mother and fix a leak under my house is all going to a new transmission instead. Thank you Peterson Toyota.  This money that would have been pocket change to your dealership affects my whole life.

PS-They attempted to fix my car the FIRST time (not even 24 hours later when the steering went out in the middle of an intersetcion with my pregnant friend in the passenger seat and two kids in the back with oncoming traffic).  Their "fix" consisted of a used power steering pump that they failed to tighten the pressure lines on.  The SECOND time it broke down was 20 minutes after leaving the dealership the second time.  The transmission failed in the middle of the interstate.  The only thing I was offered was to trade in my car (for less than what I purchased it for) for another car with a warranty (mind you the ones offered cost more than twice what I paid) or have their mechanics look at it (despite the fact that I do not trust them or their company and the car was currently in the hands of my GM certified, honest mechanic).  *If Peterson Toyota had done proper safety checks on the engine the first time around (or at least reported honest findings) the codes would have shown that the transmission was slipping.

If you are in Idaho, or have any family or friends in the local area, please tell them to avoid the Peterson Toyota dealership off of Fairview.
