Complaint Review: Pets-r-pals James Lovelock

I bought a Greenwing Macaw from Pets-r-pals. When I received the bird he was filthy and smelled terrible. The crate that the bird was shipped in was deplorable. The bird was shipped from PA (approx 8 hours enroute) without food or water.

Upon recieving the bird, the bird was not socialized at all. I could not handle the bird at all. I was told that the bird was hand fed 5 month old baby macaw. I have consulted with a breeder here and she thinks that the macaw is 1-2 years old.

I have tried to contact the breeder on several occasions via phone and e-mail and have not received a response. I am at a loss for the truth.
