PetSmart MAJOR RIP OFF Vestal, New York
On Thursday January 12 2012 my bf took his dog to PetSmart. Max (the dog) was not eating. PetSmart diagnosed him with leptospirosis, gave him meds and sent him on his way.
2 days later, Max was taken to another veterinary hospital who performed a CAT scan. It was discovered that Max has a malignant tumor the size of a grapefruit on his liver. Max was euthanized Saturday night. He was only 4 years old.
PetSmart says they diagnosed Max with leptospirosis because his sister came in 3 weeks prior and that's what she was suffering from. The reason they couldn't perform a CAT scan on Max??? They're incompetent! Max needlessly suffered because someone was too lazy to do their job right!!
