PGT Trucking company lease purchase program is a rip off.  My husband worked for this company for 90 days and his lease was terminated.  During his employment there was about 6 weeks that he did not receive any form of pay.  Direct deposit was $0 because he only made enough to pay PGT for the lease equipment and fuel used to deliver the load.  My husband worked through these tough conditions during the holidays and was not able to get home for any holidays.  This company required that he drive extensive distances to pick up loads without enough money for fuel.  After we struggled to continue with this opportunity, PGT decided that the program was not going to be beneficial to him.  Therefore, they terminated his lease and sent him home with all his belongings stuck in Monaca, PA. He was told that his belongings would be sent to him, however, he received a certified letter stating his personal belongings would be thrown out if not picked up within 20 days of the letter.  Therefore in addition to him not getting paid for several weeks, we now have to make plans to travel more than 9 hours from home to pick up items that should have been sent to him.  This company is a representation of a true rip off.

On February 10, 2010 a report was submitted stating that the lease purchase program is a rip off.  Upon investigation the facts are:  During the 16 weeks that the driver was in the lease purchase program he averaged in excess of $850.  The driver received fuel advances for each load hauled therefore sufficient fuel for the trip should never had been a problem.  During the 16 weeks, driver was counselled numerous times for HOS violations and citations which led to the separation.  Personal belonging were mailed to the driver within 15 days of separation.  Unfortunately the relationship between PGT and driver was short and unpleasant.  PGT is a safe motor carrier and does not condone or accept violations of HOS. We handle all issues professionally and fairly and rebut these allegations.
