If it's not confusing enough that I thought I closed this account in late 2001 or mid 2002, this company wrote a check in my name for $149. They also used my husband's name for the signature.

The only information the bank could provide me with was www.pharmacycards.com and the phone number 866-467-3566 (which does not work). Further search lead me to this website.

Not only am I upset with www.pharmacycards.com , but why did Netbank allow someone else to sign my check, even electronically? Netbank did not know I was married or who I was married to.

I'm faxing my change of address, information on what I've discovered (thanks to this website), and a request to close my Netbank account (again) tonight.

Good luck anyone else.

If this was presented as an electronic check or ACH you can file a dispute. Just tell the bank the transaction was not authorized and you wish to dispute it. It is up to the merchant to prove the debit was authorized. It is possible to have your money back in as little as 10 business days. Federal regulation "E" requires all banks investigate unauthorized electronic debits.
