Complaint Review: PhatCampus

PhatCampus.com Company completely ignores customers. I haven't gotten any real response. Internet

About a month and a half ago I ordered a book from phatcampus.com. At the same time I also ordered a few other books from other sites... When two weeks had passed, all the payments had gone through, and all of my other books from other sites had arrived, my book from phatcampus still hadn't shown up. I thought that I could head on over to the website and track the shipment easily enough, but little did I know that this would be the beginning of a long, fruitless road.

I went over to the site to find a message telling me that the book was completely out of stock. They had my email, and yet never notified me. Another great thing, when I sent them a message, I received no reply. I also tried calling the 1-800 number, and felt oh so comforted when I got to leave a message. I also looked up this problem and found that an employee named Rick Rues seems to reply to all of these threads. I also tried to contact him.

Every single one of these communication outlets promised a reply in 3 business days, 1 business day, whatever it is. It just seems to me that since I got a message promising a response in 48 business hours about 3 or 4 weeks ago, that they might not be calling.

Oh! And have I mentioned that the book was about $50... I am working my way through college right now. That is a lot of money that they should not be able to take from me without my book in return. I truthfully don't even need the book anymore. I just need my money... But I think this means that they would actually need to deal with my problem, which is something that I don't see happening.

If something good does come of this, I will post it, and I will let the rest of you know how in the world it finally came out, but until then, DO NOT buy anything from this site. A full two months of trying to get ahold of a phantom company is just ridiculous.

I finally found out that I got my money back when I checked my bank account online this past week. My order, made on 12/29/08, was finally refunded 3/2/09. It took a couple months, and them telling me that I had to contact my credit card company... but I finally did get a refund.
