Phil Evans is a crook! Whatever you do don't trust this guy. Evans talks a good story but bottom line he is a crook. He has stolen over $16,000 from my family provided fake, non-exsistent colleratial for the loan and not paid $1 since he borrowed the money 6 years ago.

My wife and I were "suckered" into the story told by Evans about starting a construction business and need the funds to provide down payment on the construction equipment. We were to receive 10% of the profit plus repayment of the principle in 2 years (plus 10% interest). We also received 4 horses title as additional colleratial for the loan. The horses did not exist plus we never got any of the information on consturction equipment. We have contacted him 100 times over the years and he has not paid $1.  He is a lier, thief and a scam artist.

I am not the only person who has been screwed by this guy! I did not know at the time but several people in the Central Texas area have also been screwed. It is partially my fault as I should have spent more time checking him out before I loaned him the money! I made the mistake of trusting him!!

Whatever you do, don't trust this guy! He will screw you 100%!

Couple of Questions...

#2General Comment

1.  Did you have a signed, notarized, legal contract?  You spend a lot of time talking about what he was "supposed" to do- do you have anything in writing?

2.  You were offered horses and equipment for collateral, and you accepted without even verifying if the collateral exists??  I wonder why he didn't offer you his estate in Atlantis as collateral as you were clearly interested in buying everything he had to say without evidence.

2.  And yet another "I trusted him" whine- that suggests to me that you did NOT have a contract.  So you paid a stupid tax but please, stop pretending it was because you were a good, trusting person and not an idiot and a schmuck who is easy fodder for scammers.  "It's partially my fault..." well, yes.  "I made a mistake by trusting him!" Yep, but that doesn't make you worthy of sympathy . Live and Learn.
