Complaint Review: Phil Long Ford Colorado Springs Co

I am a 23 year old female that just purchased my first car. Unknown to me that I would be ripped off! I was proud that I had done it myself. When my mother saw the car she was totally flabbergasted. I got a car that was 14 years old, 135,000 miles on it and it has major issues, not to mention the tires were rotten! The cords were coming through.

The total amount to finance was $4400.00 and with the interest it was closer to $6000.00 I thought I would just suck it up and live with my mistake, this would actually help my credit. I was told by the company that I did get financing through a company in Southfield, Mi. I waited and waited for an invoice or payment stubs that never came. I took it on myself to send the payment to the finance company and the money was returned to me with no explanation as to why.

I then started trying to contact the dealership to find out what was going on. I called and left several messages and none of those calls were returned.

Also the registration wasn't sent in to the state until AFTER I received a ticket for an expired temp. tag in the window. Once again I called and the lady I talked to said "Oh yeah, it is sitting here on my desk". Now we are talking a good 60 days that this registration was sitting there!

This company started calling me I am assuming after they found out that the finance company wasn't going to finance this car. And why would they not finance it? It was too old for the price these scam artist were trying to get!They had an offer for me. I had already put down $1000 on this piece of junk and they wanted another $700! I had just put brand new tires on this car for $400 and registered it for another $80. I was not used to being taken advantage off! I really resent this! How many more people have and will they do this too?

Please look into this! Don't let others be taken advantage off, just because they have no knowledge of car buying!
