On 8/9/13 I took my 2001 Buick LeSabre in for a diagnostic check after speaking to Holland Mcrae. He said the cost was around $150 or if I decided to get the work done the cost would be applied to the repair cost. I agreed.

He asked what was my car doing or not doing. I advised that I had been to a franchised car repair center called Car Care Clinic and they screwed me over, charged me for it and my car was in the SAME condition as when I first took it in for repair. I told him my on dash diagnostic showed my temp was running high, my ac was blowing hot air even after being recharged and my antifreeze was having to be refilled almost daily but wasn't leaking from anywhere.

After sitting/waiting for about an hour, Holland stated they found a leak in my a/c line and my radiator was clogged. The cost was almost $800. I specifically asked if this would fix all the issues I was concerned with and he said "yes". I said I wanted to call my dad to see what he thought I should do. I called my dad and Holland even spoke to him and asked if he thought the antifreeze was leaking into another area instead of leaking. Holland said no. I told him to proceed with the work.

After waiting almost 4 hours Holland came and told me everything was fixed and they had the a/c running for almost 30 minuted and it was working great. They even replaced my radiator because it was only a $20 difference (which I agreed to). I paid, got into my car and the air was ice cold. I drove home.

The next day I had a doctor's appointment with my cancer dr. The a/c wasn't working less than 24 hours after having almost $800 worth of work done. I didn't have time to go back to Buick so I called. I called the service dept. and spoke to a very curt woman whose name escapes me but she's the only one in the service dept. Dhe told me to come in and they would take a look at the car.

I got to the dealership around 3pm and the same lady I spoke to assisted me because Holland was off that day. Hmm how convenient for them and inconvenient for me because I wanted to give him a piece of my mind. She reprinted my invoice and pointed out that it said more a/c may be present. I advised what I was told and that if there were other leaks that they didn't miracously appear in less than 24 hrs. Still calm I waited to see what they found out.

In less than an hour miss friendly came back and gave me an invoice showing the estimate to fix the a/c was $450! WTH? Feeling cheated by yet another auto place I asked to speak to her boss. She advised that because  my invoice stated "other a/c leaks may present" a manager would stand behind the work. To keep from going to jail from choking her I left upset. I called back and was told that the additional work needed was correct andm

m that they did nothing wrong.

A few days later, a family friend gave me the name of his mechanic who now had his own shop at his home. I took my car to him. He did a diagnostic check. He said they (Phil Moore Buick GM) should be ashamed for what they charged me for the little work they did. He said they only drained and recharged my a/c line, replaced a cheap O ring and actually damaged the line. I noticed it wad crooked before he showed it to me. He daid I needed a compressor. I purchased it at the local chain autp parts store. It was on $103 and he charged me $150 for labor. He fixed what Phil Moored messed up or didn't fix and fixed the other isdues too. He had my car all day but to this day my car had been running great andcthe a/c blows colder than it probably did when it was new. Unbelievable! I wouldn't send my worst enemy to Phil Buick. I later found out from a family member who works in a service dept for semi trucks that service writers earn commission. That explains it.
